Stalker In The Shadows
Love Inspired Suspense
by Camy Tang
-From the back cover- “CONSIDER THIS A WARNING.” Lately, nurse Monica Grant feels she is being watched. Followed. And then she receives a threatening letter – accompanied by a dead snake. If she doesn't stop her plans to open a free children's clinic, she'll end up dead, too. Terrified, Monica turns to former lawman Shaun O'Neill – who believes the madman murdered his own sister five years before. She understands how much it means to the handsome, heart-guarding man to save her – and her dream. Even if he has to lure a deadly stalker out of the shadows – straight towards himself. This is the second Love Inspired book I have read. I love the suspense genre and these books have been recommended by friends so I decided to give the imprint a whirl. These books are great for a short afternoon read, carrying in your purse for waiting somewhere, or a a small book on your nightstand to read in bed. Stalker In The Shadows is a nice little Suspense novel that is perfect for whiling away a few hours. It has a little romance and quite a bit of danger to keep you turning the pages. I liked Monica. For one thing, she doesn't take anything lying down, whatever the stalker throws at her she wants to fight back and stop him from hurting anyone else. This girl may seem like a rich kid that has gone into a simple job helping people, but she has some pretty good tricks up her sleeve, former boyfriends can sure come in handy sometimes. Shaun is a born protector but he has been emotionally wounded by what he sees as his failure to do just that. He is determined to find the man that killed his sister and keep Monica from being the next victim. Of course, he is is starting to fall for her, but he just can't, he will fail her too. Or will he let God handle the pain and start to let Monica in? Camy Tang did a good job with the mystery of the stalker's identity. I had no clue who was the guilty party until just before she revealed it. All the way through the book I knew who it WASN'T but no idea who it WAS. Even when I had to lay it down I was still thinking about the story and wondering what was next. | This Book earned a 3 Bark rating. .

I didn't quite like a Family Planning clinic being almost painted as a positive thing, it is somewhat compared to Monica's free children's clinic and I feel that the two are very different.
Also, the stalker/killer was homeschooled in the past, which I felt was unnecessary and seemed to intimate that there is a correlation between the two.
Aside from those, this book was a great read and I am looking forward to reading the previous book Formula For Danger.
