History
I have enjoyed dolls for as long as I can remember, starting with my baby-dolls, then on to Barbies when I got a little older. When I was 11 one of my other loves (reading) led me to check out American Girl Felicity's books from the library and within a few months I was getting the American Girl catalogs in the mail. Felicity was my first AG doll, after that I bought my mom Addy and then came Josefina and Kaya for me. I was hooked good! Over the next few years was given and bought more AG dolls, Magic Attic, Life of Faith, Stardust Classics, Carpatina, and then I discovered the 23" MyTwinn dolls.
During that time I took an interest in sewing. I was 8 or so when I started using all-purpose thread and started "embroidering" shapes and things into scraps of fabric. Cross-stitching came next. After I got Felicity my Mom bought some patterns and gave a me a few lessons in sewing....and I haven't stopped since. Over the years my ideas and designs have continued to evolve, many of which you can see in the Gallery Of Designs page.
So, that other love I mentioned above, well, its gotten me pretty busy! I won a couple of book giveaways and got to wondering how I could help the authors that had so kindly given me books. So in December 2012 I started a blog on this site for reviewing Christian Fiction books. I had no clue just what that would start! I am now working on a couple of wonderful author's teams, reviewing for several publishers, as well as reviewing and blogging for a couple of sites. Can't get enough reading time in now!
