Just as good, if not better, than book one....
Time Travel is not a genre that I read very often but when it is done right I really enjoy it. D.K. Till is one of the authors who can pull it off quite well – and believably.
I discovered the first Time Passengers novel not that long ago so I was pretty excited to get my hands on Midnight Rider with only a short time in between. Wow! The story proved to be even more interesting – and surprising – than expected. This time around the Time Passengers go forward in time and wind up involved in a murder investigation that spans a century.
I really enjoyed D.K. Till's blend of time travel (sci-fi) with a good old fashioned murder mystery in Midnight Rider. However, it is her brilliant portrayal of the potential future that really keeps me coming back. She takes our current US culture in a natural progression forward that comes out both foreign and familiar. And a little frightening....
Another fun fact that I absolutely loved finding out about the books in the Time Passengers series - they are named after good ol' classic rock songs. And I do like the song that inspired the title of this book.
Midnight Rider was a good read and I enjoyed every page. D.K. Till has a good thing going with this series and I am highly anticipating the third book when it releases....
