I've read several of Denise Weimer's books over the last few years and each time I start a new one I know that I am in for a good story with a lovely attention paid to historical detail. In short, an enjoyable read. A Winter At The White Queen was another proof of that 'rule'. It's a lovely little novella set in Florida in the early 20th century and features a sweet romance along with a teensy dash of mystery. |  This Book received a 4 Bark rating.

Aside from an entertaining story there were two things that I particularly loved. The first was all of those charming little historical tidbits and terminology that popped up. The second was the inclusion of some turn of the century magic...Now I won't tell you how or what but as a fan of a certain magic show on TV, well, it was right up my alley.
A Winter At The White Queen another wonderful story from Denise Weimer. It's a quick read, perfect for an afternoon spent with a fuzzy blanket and a cup of tea. For me it was the perfect escape from a snowy winter day, I could almost feel that Florida sunshine while I was within its pages...
