When I finished reading Ghost Heart I had to just sit back and let it sink in for awhile. I'll admit, sometimes it was hard to read. Knowing that these things really are happening in the world is almost more than the mind, and heart, can take. Lisa Harris and Lynne Gentry did such a wonderful job on this story! They successfully took a difficult subject and told it with love and true compassion.
As I read the book I ran the gamut of emotions. From the terror of two mothers a world apart to the excitement of romance as it blossomed between two of the characters. A gritty story that is impossible to put down, Lisa Harris and Lynne Gentry have seamlessly penned a story that will stay with me long after I've finished it.
Yes, Ghost Heart hit a little close to home sometimes and it was difficult to read some of the more heart-rending scenes but I am so glad I did read this book and I really think this is one that will go in my list of top books read in 2017.
