I wanted to delve into the idea of forgiveness, especially very hard to forgive another.

Both the heroine, Kira, and the hero, Gabriel. They have a lot of emotional baggage. They have been through some difficulties and survived.

#5. What made you choose some of the specific locations in this book?
I live in Oklahoma and it fit the type of story I wanted to write—small town with a ranch.

#6. How did you name your characters?
I mull it over for a while and usually a name just comes to me, especially for the main characters. The secondary characters can be harder sometimes.

#7. Tell us something funny, sad, embarrassing, whatever, that happened involving this book. Gabriel had to give up his daughter to keep her safe after being away from her for almost a year. It was one of the hardest things he did.

Forgiveness is an important faith message in my stories. I think of not being able to forgive someone like dragging a ball and chain behind you. Going through life is harder.
