I'd previously read one of Lynn H. Blackburn's Love Inspired Suspense novels so I was pretty excited when I found out that she would be releasing a regular length novel as part of a new series. I heard about it awhile before the release date, I admired the dramatic cover, I read the blurb, and in general looked forward to actually diving in. OK, that pun was partially intended...
Believe me, Beneath The Surface lived up to my hopes for the story. It's chilling, action-packed, with some real twists-and-turns. Lynn H. Blackburn took the killer's identity and motivation in a totally unexpected direction that made this a fresh story in romantic suspense.
I quickly fell in love with the characters, each of them quirky in their own way but also bringing special skills that enable them to solve the crime.
Needless to say, Beneath The Surface was one book that I had a hard time putting down. I'd recommend it to fans of romantic suspense who enjoy a touch of medical thriller as well. I totally can't wait for the next book in the Dive Team Investigations series!
