I've been looking forward to another adventure with Kappy, Edie, and Jimmy, since I read the final pages in the last Amish Mystery book. The three of them, and Elmer the puppy, have quite captured my heart with their amateur sleuthing in their Amish community. A place, I might add that most people would consider to be the LAST place for murder. But murder has struck three times in Blue Sky and it has never been quite so tasty as in Kappy King And The Pie Kaper.
When I sat down with my copy I honestly thought I would finish it the next day. Yeah, well, that didn't happen. I kept telling myself “just one more page” and “just one more chapter” and before I knew it I was turning the last page. I just HAD to know if my suspicions were correct and if I was right about who the killer was.
Amy Lillard has a really winner with this series that is half Amish fiction and half cozy mystery. I've enjoyed each of the three books immensely and I very much look forward to further Kappy adventures, that, and her crazy words-of-the-day...
