A bit on the lighter side Marry Me, Millie was an enjoyable read and kept me quite entertained from start to finish. Sylvie and Vern's machinations to get to get Millie and Henry together had me chuckling and maybe, just possibly mind you, even rolling my eyes once or twice. The tone that Amy Lillard set with this story was almost a romantic comedy and the Amish setting made it even more fun. There were still a few serious and/or thoughtful moments in the tale that were well placed, making the reader more sympathetic to the characters and invested in their fictional lives.
Marry Me, Millie is the first book in Amy Lillard's brand new Paradise Valley series. The series is off to a great start and I enjoyed my time in this new fictional Amish community. Now, I just wish the next book would hurry up and come out...
