When I read it I couldn't seem to put the book down, I HAD to know what came next. In some ways Unseen reminded me a bit of a Ted Dekker book. I really liked the stark sense of good and evil. The choice of standing by, minding your own business, and thus letting evil triumph, or sticking your neck out to do what deep down you know is right, even when it hurts and is dangerous. Another thing, very similar, that I liked was the sense that no matter how dark things appear good will triumph. Even when we have apparently lost God still has the victory, and sometimes we might get to see it. |  This Book earned a 4 Bark rating.

James Pence takes some very wounded characters, not the least of which is Thomas Kent a preacher who has lost his call and feels abandoned by God, and weaves a story with them that not only engrossed the reader but also leaves them with much to think about after the last page has been turned.
Totally new to this author's books but I have to say that I am hooked good. I will definitely be interested in reading more of James Pence's books.
If you like what I would call thrillers, and this reader is enjoying them more and more, with plenty of daring and danger, I would highly recommend Unseen as your next read.
