There is nothing like a good wilderness survival setting with a couple facing the elements while being pursued by some particularly nasty killers. They are part suspense, part adventure story, and part romance. All are genres that I enjoy reading myself...
Between the bears and snakes and murderers, Pursued In The Wilderness does a great job of keeping the old ticker pumping with every page. Loretta Eidson's characters don't get a moment to breathe as they make their trek across the mountains and readers don't really either. That is what made this Love Inspired Suspense novel an enjoyable read that I finished in pretty short order. I just had to find out whether Brooke would wind up having her baby in the wilderness with only Trent, a man she has just met, and his K-9 search-and-rescue partner to help her... But, Brooke is one tough lady and Trent is just the man who can get her through the wilderness and to safety.
Pursued In The Wilderness kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish which is exactly what I hope for whenever a start a Love Inspired Suspense novel. Rarely is that hope ever disappointed and Loretta Eidson did not break that overwhelming trend with this book.
So, if you are up for an adventure in the mountains and you love a story with a cool dog in it, check out Loretta Eidson's first Love Inspired Suspense novel Pursued In The Wilderness...
Tell Tale Book Reviews gives Pursued In The Wilderness by Loretta Eidson a 4 Bark rating.

One would think with my admiration of the mountain range I would accept all the mountains have to offer. Not so. Even though there are many hiking trails, I have ventured out on very few. Animals of the wild frighten me, but none near as much as a bear. I am certain every bear in the forest hides in the tops of trees, waiting for my arrival so they can pounce on me. I know it’s silly, but my apprehension is real. |
Handler Trent Williston and his K-9, Rex, escape the city, away from all pregnant women. He refuses to deliver another baby after a mishap with an emergency delivery while on the job. A camping trip to the mountains with Rex is his go-to for relaxation – until Brooke falls into his camp with three killers on her trail. |
