Wow, ​​Darkness Reigns was quite a start to the King's Folly tale. It is a fairly short and quick read, short at only around 160 pages, and quick because you really don't want to put it down. This is only the first part in this epic story and I can only imagine what will come next.

​I would add that this is more of an adult story, or older teens, versus YA. With more mature themes Darkness Reigns will catch the attention of longtime fantasy fans looking for a new and exciting read.
