I'm a longtime fan of romantic suspense so Flee The Darkness was right up my alley. The fact that Melissa and Chris both find themselves caught up in different mysteries was particularly enjoyable. As the characters find themselves under more stress the tension ratchets up and the reader can't help but turn the pages faster and faster.
I've actually visited Florida so I was really able to visualize Carol J. Post's landscape descriptions in a vivid way. I'll tell you, it made the final showdown with villain even more chilling. I could see it all going down in my mind's eye.
Flee The Darkness was a great read and I'm most definitely looking forward to book two in Carol J. Post's new Harmony Grove series.
