Never Vie For A Viscount
Fortune's Brides book 4
by Regina Scott
-From Goodreads- The perky Lydia Villers is determined to leave behind her life as a social butterfly and do what she’s always dreamed of doing, pursue a career in natural philosophy. A shame the only scientist available to assist her is the one man she had once hoped to wed. The brilliant Frederick, Viscount Worthington, Worth to his friends, has been betrayed too many times, including by the bubbly beauty who now wants to work at his side. How can he believe Lydia’s intentions are true this time? After all, someone is intent of sabotaging his efforts to create the perfect hot air balloon. But with the help of Miss Thorn and her beloved cat Fortune, the enthusiastic young lady and the wary lord might just discover that only together do they make the perfect chemistry. This sweet, clean Regency romance is the sequel to Never Envy an Earl. Fortune’s Brides: Only a matchmaking cat can hunt true love. ASIN: B07L8LZMRS Can they give each other a second chance? Fortune the cat is back but can even her expertise bring these two hurt and stubborn people together? I've been in love with the Fortune's Brides series since the beginning, though I did a little boo-boo and read the second book before the first, and I have never been disappointed. Never Vie For A Viscount was every bit of the charming and amusing story that I had anticipated. Regina Scott's talent for quirky characters, funny situations, and dash of suspense brings is undisputed. She brings life and wit to the usually shallow and vapid genre of Regency Era fiction. | This Book received a 4.5 Bark rating. |
Never Vie For A Viscount, I love the title by the way, was a lot of fun to read. Regina Scott's balance of historical romance, romantic comedy, and romantic suspense is spot on. She hits all of the right notes and her readers come away completely satisfied by a story that is entertaining and enjoyable without all of the garbage that often plagues Regency Era fiction. So, take some advice from me and check out this fourth book, and its predecessors, in the charming Fortune's Brides series featuring a clever matchmaking cat...
