Seriously, though, I did really enjoy this fourth Doors To The Past novel. Rachel Scott McDaniel had me equally as immersed in Devyn's 21st century social media crazy world as Hattie's 1920's steamboat travel era. The emotion, the drama, and the romance caught my attention but it was the overarching century old mystery that really captured me. I was kept guessing, some of which turned out to be right and some not so much, right up to the, might I say, very satisfying end.
Undercurrent Of Secrets was a great read and I can honestly say that it's probably my favorite Doors To The Past book yet. This series has been a lot of fun to read, each book is different but they all share the same mix of romance and mystery in a dual timeline format, and I haven't missed a one. Rachel Scott McDaniel is a new to me author but I sincerely hope it won't be my last. I really liked her storytelling style and I look forward to reading more from her...
