What question does everyone ask but most are too afraid of the answer...What happens after we die? Through interviews with Christians and skeptics alike, author and journalist Lee Strobel explores one of the most difficult questions in this beautifully made documentary.
I sat down to watch The Case For Heaven on a hot summer afternoon and unlike many documentaries I never got distracted. I was impressed with the entire documentary from start to finish. It was so well laid out, the progression from one section to another was natural, and it was very easy to follow. I loved the addition of nicely done animations that illustrate many of the interviews as well as the dictionary word definitions that popped up as little surprises every now and then.
While I didn't really come away believing anything different than I did before, I did feel greatly encouraged in what I did believe. Some of the thoughts expressed by the people interviewed were so profound and thought provoking that I actually found myself writing some of them down notes-style in a text document on a laptop. From concrete facts to the more abstract, these were things I'd like to remember and use later.
Does The Case For Heaven tell you what to believe? Nope, but it asks the tough questions and takes viewers on a journey of discovery. The entire thing can be summed up in something Lee Strobel himself said, “Keep Seeking. The Truth Is Out There.”....
Tell Tale Book Reviews gives The Case For Heaven a 4.5 Bark rating.
