So, I've been both anticipating and dreading reading Mourning Crisis. Anticipation because I love The Funeral Fakers series. Dread because it is the last book in said series. The story more than lived up to its predecessors and I had a great time trying to solve the mystery alongside Mayme. I actually did skirt around the truth with my guesses but didn't quite hit the mark. Which proved that author Carolyn Ridder Aspenson has a few tricks up her sleeve and can keep readers wondering.
A cozy mystery with a little touch of romance Mourning Crisis was a delight to read. I loved how this book had some wonderfully tense scenes with villains and potential villains, at that point who knew which was which! And here I have to mention Mayme's parents, totally stuck in the 90s, a decade I remember well, and they were totally a hoot!
Carolyn Ridder Aspenson has a winner of a cozy mystery in Mourning Crisis. It was a good read and one I found hard to put down. So, if you are looking for a good book and a good series you should really check out this one!
