Time to step back, breathe, and remember to worship...
It seems liked over the last almost two years the world has gone crazy. There has just been so much uncertainty. Things I never expected in my lifetime have happened. But that's where our faith comes in and when things like worship and praise music can make all the difference in the world. Like most people right now I've spent more time at home and I've found myself listening to old favorites sometimes going as far back as when I was a kid. Whether it's online or digging through my CD collection, I've been reminding myself of what's truly important.
One of the songs I've been listening to is Chris Tomlin's recording of God Of Wonders. I fell in love with it when it first came on the radio, and here I'll seriously date myself, back in 2002 when I was a teenager. Even more than Chris Tomlin's easy-to-listen-to voice and the easygoing music, it was the lyrics that really captured me then and they still do now almost 20 years later.
The reminder that God created all of the wonders of the universe and the call to praise Him when we are stumbling through the dark is very timely, indeed. But, isn't that like God? To put something like God Of Wonders into the minds and hearts of His people so that they can call it up even years later when they need it most?
Whether you are familiar with Chris Tomlin or not, if you haven't heard his release of this song yet, you should. Let it inspire and encourage you to praise the true God Of Wonders. And when you've listened to it, check into this artist's newer and newest stuff...it's pretty good too...
