FBI agent Jo McDaniels has been called to her hometown of Claremont, Oregon, to help on a grisly serial murder case. Though this story originally released a decade ago, I only discovered it a couple of years ago during 'the summer that never happened'. Even now, two years later I can honestly say that Ties That Bind is still by far my favorite Anne Patrick novel! It was chilling, it was riveting, it was creepy, it was gritty, it was gripping, it was engrossing, and it was even a little scary. It reminded me much of the Kaely Quinn Profiler series from Nancy Mehl as well as Brandilyn Collins's Chelsea Adams books. I enjoyed it so much that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this book to any fan of gritty Christian romantic suspense...
