Anyone who lives near a national park or protected area knows that the wilderness can be a deadly place – but Deadly Yellowstone Secrets puts that danger on steroids – in all of the best Love Inspired Suspense ways, of course.

I'm actually not completely new to Kari Trumbo's books as I've read and listened to some of her historical fiction, so, when I saw her name on a romantic suspense novel I knew I had to read it. And Deadly Yellowstone Secrets did not disappoint in either the suspense category or in the romantic sparks.

Kari Trumbo certainly keeps her readers on the edge of their seats as well as guessing in this exciting Love Inspired Suspense novel. It's a quick read that is perfect for curling up with a cup of something hot and a warm blanket as you get a little shiver from the icy cold Yellowstone wind...

Wow, am I really at the end of the Seven Brides Of South Dakota series? I know I missed book four but it's a bit strange to be saying goodbye to the Arnsby sisters after spending so many hours listening to their stories. I keep thinking I should be starting the next book soon but...

I really think Courting In Custer was a great way to finish this historical romance series from author Kari Trumbo. It had all of the best elements of the previous books, including that fun dash of suspense, but it was still every bit Daisy's story. Well, Daisy and that lovable idiot Elias.

If there's one that stood out to me in Courting In Custer, it's how easily little things like off-hand comments overheard in childhood can scar a person and continue to damage years later as we are unable to let them go. Kinda makes you think twice about what you say, doesn't it?

This is the second book in the series with the different narrator from the 5 previous titles. While, I think she does a great job bringing Kari Trumbo's novel to life, I still think her voice is a trifle mature for the characters. Otherwise the production quality is good and the sound excellent. I'd easily recommend the entire Seven Brides Of South Dakota series for lovers of audiobooks and historical romance.

Aaah, this is what I've come to expect in Kari Trumbo's historical romance Seven Brides Of South Dakota series. A stubborn heroine, a determined hero, lots of romantic sparks flying, and a healthy dash of suspense. Yes, Hearts In Hot Springs is exactly that. It's fun, at times funny, and sure to be thought provoking while fully entertaining the reader/listener.

Nora and Mathias drive each other crazy and me as well sometimes. Nora stubbornly believes that every offer of assistance is an insult to her independence and capability. Mathias stubbornly believes that no matter how much she proves herself Nora will eventually up and leave him. If any two characters deserve each other it's these two. And I say that with an amused chuckle.

This audiobook has a different narrator from the previous books and I'm still deciding how I feel about that. She does a good job of allowing the emotion of the story into her voice and she reads it well. However, her voice is, in my opinion, a trifle mature for such a young heroine. Still, I enjoyed listening to the audiobook and I wouldn't hesitate to tell you to read or listen to it if you enjoy western historical romance with a message of faith and hope.

He's impossible... She's rattled...

Out of the 4 books that I've read in the Seven Brides Of South Dakota series, I missed book #4, I think that Sparks In Spearfish was the one that I connected with the least. Not that I didn't enjoy the audiobook, because I did, but, this where this Millennial starts to feel a little old, both characters came across as two very immature hormonal kids in need of some serious growing up.

I really did like Lula even though she's a bit self absorbed and naive. However, my 21st Century must be coming through because I spent more time mad at Barton's lousy behavior and ridiculous expectations than I did actually liking him. But, I did enjoy the audiobook. I wanted to see the two get together, maybe because they kinda deserved each other, and I was glad when they finally got their happy ending.

While Kari Trumbo kinda missed me with the characters, I absolutely loved the Normal (teacher) school background, and I enjoyed checking back in with the Arnsby sisters and finding out what they're up to.

I've really been getting frequent flier miles with audiobooks this summer and Sparks In Spearfish was another good experience production-wise. The narrator did a great job bringing author Kari Trumbo's story to life. I'm definitely looking forward to listening to the next Seven Brides Of South Dakota novel.

I've been quite curious about Love In Lead since reading the back cover copy and wondering how in the world the hero would turn out to be 'a chameleon in a suit'. Boy, boy did I find out in the third book in Kari Trumbo's historical romance Seven Brides Of South Dakota series!

Captain George Roth is definitely a man wearing too many masks and there were times I positively disliked him, though, he had a habit of turning right around and disarming me with his kindness just as he does to Eva. I genuinely liked Eva, though she can be a bit stubbornly naive at times.

Love In Lead is a nice addition to Kari Trumbo's historical-romance-with-a-little-western Seven Brides Of South Dakota series and I enjoyed the story. I can't wait to find out what's in store for the Arnsby sisters in the next books.

As with the previous books I listened to Love In Lead in audiobook format. And, like the others I found the sound quality and the production in general to be excellent. The narrator is very good, though she has a persistent habit of mispronouncing a very few words such as 'hearth'. At any rate, Kari Trumbo's novel was in good hands with this production and it was an enjoyable listen.

I'm going to confess right now that I was a little leery of this story, despite the fact that I did enjoy the first book in the Seven Brides Of South Dakota series. The reason? Well, it's quite simple. I didn't like Hattie Arnsby in book one and wasn't sure I could change my mind about her in Kisses In Keystone. But, hey, on the plus side it shows the talent of author Kari Trumbo to elicit such emotion from me. Though, lo and behold, I actually did warm up to her by the end of the story. While, she's still not my favorite character I was able to see her in a more sympathetic light as I listened to her battle her addiction and try so hard to overcome her circumstances which were initially brought on by her own poor judgment.

My second confession is that it took me awhile to see the tie-in between Kisses In Keystone and the Biblical account of Hosea. When I finally did catch on I was a bit worried that it would follow the story a little too well and I would only feel sorry for Hugh and hate Hattie. I shouldn't have worried, Kari Trumbo handles it with skill. The addition of the western setting and the threads of danger serve to keep this slightly edgier story of redemption entertaining.

This is the second Seven Brides Of South Dakota book that I've 'read' in audiobook. As with its predecessor I found the production to be well done and the narrator to be a good match for the characters. Historical romance is one of my favorite genres, and if you enjoy it as well, this audiobook would be a good choice...

I've heard a lot of good things about Kari Trumbo over the last few years but up until now hadn't read any of her books. Dreams In Deadwood remedied that oversight. It was a sweet historical romance with some great themes of not allowing the pain of the past to turn into fear that dictates your future, and most importantly, putting your trust in the One who will never let you out of His hand. I enjoyed the story, though I thought Jenny was a bit childish at times and I wanted to shake Aiden, and I hope to find out what happens to the wayward Arnsby sister in the next book...

I listened to the audiobook version of Dreams In Deadwood and found it to be pretty good. The narrator had a lively voice and gave each character their own distinct way of speaking. I've always loved it when a person does different voices when reading aloud so this was right up my alley. Overall I felt that the production did justice to author Kari Trumbo's story and I wouldn't hesitate to listen to more from the Seven Brides Of South Dakota series.
