Miss Camilla Pierpont, a renowned matchmaker and influential member of the New York Four Hundred, has vowed never to marry after suffering a devastating heartbreak during her debut years ago. However, when she is nearly abducted along the Hudson River, she finds herself rescued by an annoyingly outspoken, albeit fascinating, gentleman who challenges her in a manner she wasn't expecting. After learning that Camilla Pierpont has enjoyed success with taking wayward young ladies in hand, Mr. Owen Chesterfield travels to the Hudson River Valley determined to convince Camilla to sponsor his sister, who is in desperate need of social rehabilitation.Knowing her life is in danger, Camilla agrees to Owen's proposition and travels with him to West Virginia, finding herself charmed by the less-than-formal attitude of his small hometown, as well as by Owen himself. But danger waits in the shadows, disrupting what she knows would be the most spectacular match she's ever made--her own. ISBN-13: 9780764240225

He tried to leave the past behind,
but it won’t leave him…
Ex-gang member Garrett Lovett is a new creature in Christ. At least, he’s trying to be. He’s got a wholesome routine, a place on the IronWorks football team, and a pretty woman he wants to know better. But when the old gang resurfaces with the ultimatum to re-up or face consequences, Garrett has tough decisions to make. These guys know how to get to him—his addictions, his fears. When things get life-threatening, Garrett must decide if this God he’s heard about is real or not.
And if so, can he rescue Garrett and
those he loves before it’s too late?

Garrett frowned. “What do you know about roofing?”
“I can nail a tarp down better than you. Most likely. Are you one of those guys who thinks women can’t do anything?”
“You didn’t impress me as—”
“Just give it a little time. I think you’ll be impressed.”
“All right, Princess. Let’s see what you’ve got.”
Her jaw clenched, but she started up the ladder.
He grinned and set out after her. “I’m coming just to hand you some tools.”
“I bet.” She climbed onto the roof and disappeared.
The other men would scramble up in a minute. He hesitated right before climbing onto the roof. Okay. He probably was sexist. Was that the term nowadays? His dad was. For sure the gang was.
He thought about his mom as he swung a leg onto the roof then inspected the area. His respect for her far outweighed that for his dad. He wasn’t a complete chauvinist then. Just women thinking they could outdo him when it came to construction—well, he’d take that challenge.
“I have this great construction joke, but I’m still working on it.”
Her head swung around. “What?”
“I need to hammer out a few kinks first and nail the delivery.”
“Don’t even start. That won’t let you off the hook.”
“Or off the roof?”
Two hours later, Garrett wiped the sweat from his eyes. It had soaked his headband and dripped like a washcloth being rung out. Ground water stood everywhere, and the heat and humidity clung to his body like he sat in a sauna. Ryann had her hair in a ponytail, but still her face flushed. And, well, she did know what she was doing. They’d managed to get the tarp spread and nailed down faster with four of them working it.

She came home to make things right
Will she be given a second chance?
Gloriana Prescott has returned to her Texas hometown to make amends—even if the townsfolk she left behind aren’t ready to forgive. But when her mother’s ranch manager, Justin Broussard, is tasked with saving the struggling rodeo so his teen daughter can compete, Gloriana sees a chance to prove she’s really changed. But can she prove to Justin, and the town, that she’s trustworthy?
Publisher: Love Inspired
Release Date: August 23, 2022 Genre: Christian, Contemporary Romance |
Excerpt from The Cowgirl's Redemption
How was she going to get away from this crazy thing? No one else was around except her mother and Bonnie. And not only was Mom in no shape to rescue Gloriana, they probably couldn’t even hear her inside the house.
As the rooster regrouped, his beady eyes never leaving her, she tearfully lifted a prayer. God, help me.
She’d barely finished when he charged her once more. Turning, she slammed into something hard.
Justin?
He scooped her into his arms, all the while kicking at the rooster until he’d carried her through the side gate to safety.
She could feel his heart pounding wildly beneath her fingers, saw the determination etched in his tanned face.
With one arm still snugged around her waist, he set her feet on the ground beneath the shade of an oak tree.
“Thank you.” Still trying to catch her breath, she lifted her gaze to find him staring at her, his chest rising and falling every bit as quickly as hers. And the intensity of his gaze stirred feelings Gloriana had promised herself she’d never feel again. She’d been rejected by both her father and her husband. She would not allow another man to do that ever again. So why couldn’t she bring herself to look away?

Jimmy Peachey, lover of all animals, has finally done it. He’s finally convinced his sister, Edie, to allow him to raise pigs. But when he, Edie, and Kappy arrive at the farm to buy the swine, they have another surprise in store.
Balthazar Lapp, the ultra-conservative Amish pig farmer, is lying on the floor of his greenhouse, bludgeoned to death. After an anonymous caller tips off police, Jimmy’s friend Tiny is arrested for the murder. Jimmy begs Edie and Kappy to help get his friend out of jail, but with a prison record and the possible murder weapon found in his car, Tiny will remain behind bars.
Yet strange things are still happening around the valley. Corn is mysteriously growing at the abandoned farm behind Edie and Jimmy’s house. Balthazar’s wife disappears just days after his death along with all his livestock and the huge crop of medicinal marijuana from his greenhouse. And Jimmy is convinced that the Lapps’ neighbor, Gerald Kent, stole one of their pigs—the very same, ‘special’ pig Balthazar had been trying to sell to Tiny on the day of his murder.
It’ll take all Kappy’s wits to put the clues together and figure out who the murderer is, but it’s only at the Third Annual Smoking in the Valley barbecue competition that she uncovers just how special this little piggy really is.

Discovering the hidden facts of their histories could be the key to unlocking everything in this small town.
Author Interview with Allie Pleiter
Oddly enough, it was a dare from a friend. I started life as an actor. One day a friend dared me to write a romance novel. That friend happened to be the editor for a major New York publishing house romance line! She introduced me to my agent, and the rest is a history of over 50 published novels. I tell people God set it up so that I couldn’t take any credit for it, because He knew I would try. Some dares really are worth taking!
I am blessed enough that I am a full-time author. Although, it’s not all I do. I am a book coach and I do a lot of public speaking. Many people know me for The Chunky Method, my productivity system for writers. I’m a raging extrovert, so I’m not the kind of person who can sit in her office and just write—I thrive on people and variety.
#3. What is the hardest part of being an author? I constantly struggle to come up with titles that fit the needs of category romance. That’s a very specific metric and I’m always trying to be too clever. And I suspect many writers would agree with me that major, gut-wrenching revisions are the hardest part of what we do. |
I love the variety, the freedom to set my own schedule, and the particular fun of getting to talk to experts in a wide variety of fields in the name of research. I’ve been self-employed for most of my life, so the entrepreneurial aspects of being an author suit me well. And I have to say, the flexibility of being an author was a tremendous blessing when my son was very ill as a teenager. There’s probably not another job I could have kept while meeting the needs of his care at that time (he’s a well and healthy 25 year old now!)
I started out in mass market romance because that’s where my friend was working (see question #1). Then I wrote two parenting books for Zondervan. After that, I started my longstanding career with Love Inspired, doing chick-lit, historical, and contemporary romances for them. I still write contemporary romance for that line. I have two non-fiction books for writers that I self-published, as well as an inspirational romance series. Earlier this year I launched a general mass-market cozy mystery series for Berkley. Like I said earlier, I thrive on variety!
#6. What is the craziest thing you've done in the name of research? Oh, this is my most favorite question! I’ve done some really amazing things. The most unique was learning to walk a tightrope from a member of the famous Wallenda family for one of my parenting books. I’ve learned how to pull an espresso from a world-ranked barista, learned how to crack a bull whip from a weapons expert at a circus arts school, done aerial acrobatics in a stunt plane, been in a stampede on a bison ranch, and am currently trying to get my hands on super-exclusive vicuña yarn for my mystery series. Research with fascinating experts is the best part of what I do! |
Don’t fret about how others are doing it. Get sound advice, but do things how they make sense to you. And, I wish I could tell my 14-year old self that it won’t be the problem I thought it’d be to be six feet tall.
I had the blessing to be on national television for one of my parenting books. On the flight home, one of the other passengers kept staring at me, and I thought, “this is it, someone is finally going to recognize me…this is what it’s like to be famous.” He did come up to me and say “I recognize you.” But he went on to say “You’re the lady with the tiny laptop computer from my flight out earlier this week.” So…not exactly the fame I thought I had. It was definitely an ego check that I can laugh about now.
I am always asked to give writing or professional advice, and I always say the same three things:
- Hush up and write. Don’t fret or overthink—just write. Nothing makes you a better writer than writing.
- Nine times out of ten, the right business strategy is just to figure out the next right step and take it.
- Eat more pie. Pie makes everything better.
Bestselling international author Allie Pleiter honed her talents in the world of popular fiction, where she still releases multiple books a year. Allie has over 50 published titles to her name, and over 1.5 million Allie Pleiter fiction and non-fiction books have been sold around the world. Her well-known Chunky Method system trains writers at every level to formulate plans and meet deadlines in a way tailored to their unique working style. Allie runs an active coaching practice helping writers and all kinds of creative people be more productive, as well as training productive people to be more creative. Already a national speaker among writing associations, Allie now extends her reach to entrepreneurs, speakers, consultants, and anyone who needs to bolster their productivity and creativity in a demanding marketplace. |
Allie is an avid knitter, confirmed coffee junkie and firm believer that “pie makes everything better.” She holds a BS in Speech from Northwestern University and lives in the suburbs of Chicago with her husband and the world’s most adorable dog. |

8th Blogoversary Celebration - Uncharted series by Keely Brooke Keith Spotlight (Giveaway)
12/7/2020
When shepherd James Roberts goes home to the Inn at Falls Creek for his sister’s wedding, he doesn’t expect the woman who once broke his heart to be working there. No matter how much he wants to be with Naomi again, he can’t go along with her charade, especially since he is trying to persuade his father to make him the inn's heir.
Though Naomi yearns for a future with James, if she confesses her deception to everyone, her estranged fiancé will find her. And the longer James goes without telling his family the truth about Naomi—and their growing relationship—the further he jeopardizes the inheritance. But just when their relationship looks promising, the inn proves to be a poor hiding place from Naomi’s past.
Uncharted Freedom weaves past and future in a faith-filled story of life in a hidden land. If you enjoy the rural setting and wholesomeness of frontier romance and Amish fiction, you’ll adore Uncharted Freedom.
Keely Brooke Keith writes inspirational frontier-style fiction with a futuristic twist, including The Land Uncharted (Shelf Unbound Notable Romance 2015) and Aboard Providence (2017 INSPY Awards Longlist).
Born in St. Joseph, Missouri, Keely was a tree-climbing, baseball-loving 80s kid. She grew up in a family who moved often, which fueled her dreams of faraway lands. When she isn't writing, Keely enjoys teaching home school lessons and playing bass guitar. Keely, her husband, and their daughter live on a hilltop south of Nashville, Tennessee. |

Two women who forever changed the world followed a plan to better their lives. One chose God’s design for her. The other listened to a different voice that questioned God and rebelled against Him. Women and men today face the same decisions that confronted Mary and Eve. We can either seek the Tree of Life with God…or keep biting into the bitter fruit from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. Statistically, women today are less happy than at any time in measured history. This extolled knowledge of good and evil has had consequences. It’s not about equality in work, pay, or choices. It’s about women wanting to become “like men” instead of being women. It’s about women who aspire to be “nasty” and men who are confused about what it means to be a real man. Nasty Gets Us Nowhere reveals the powerful truth behind learning to do relationships like Christ, particularly relationships between men and women. Our culture often incites rebellion, but God calls us to work together. As Galatians 5:15 says, “If you bite and devour each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other” (niv). |
Drenda says we can see eye to eye when we first see heart to heart and spirit to spirit, coming from a place of cooperation instead of conflict. God’s Spirit coupled with His plan is the only answer to the separation and relationally destructive forces at work in the gender wars. It’s time for restoration and healing, to bring men and women side by side, hand in hand. There’s much at stake. We must understand our uniqueness, our vulnerabilities, and Christ’s unalterable principles for successful working and loving relationships to experience fulfillment and lasting peace.

No matter what branch they were in, whether they saw combat or not, their service left an indelible mark on their bodies, hearts, and minds, souls and spirits. Even those who have not suffered external injuries can be affected by post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, anger, and other issues. They need healing on multiple levels. Joan Hunter tackles all of the problems that veterans face in her new book, Miracles for Veterans. Joan offers guidance to those ministering to veterans, healing prayers, and insights on prevention. |

10/30/2019
Hidden just beneath the surface of Mary’s unique calling to serve as the mother of Christ lies an equally captivating story of her journey of faith. Sometimes when our plans are derailed or we encounter struggles, our faith is the only thing we have to draw upon. Trusting God through those hard times is the bedrock of what will keep us grounded. But what happens when fear creeps in? Perhaps that’s what it was like for the virgin Mary when Gabriel came to her with news that she was highly favored and chosen to bear the Christ child. Drawing parallels from her own journey-of-faith life experiences and the life of Mary, the mother of Jesus, Amy C. O’Reilly offers encouragement and inspiration to readers who seek to strengthen and move forward from fear to faith just as Mary did. |

More from Amy
Mary’s story is truly every believers story as Jesus calls us all to deny ourselves, take up our cross, and follow Him. As I pondered Mary’s life and treasured the words she treasured, I knew it was time to take Mary and Joseph out of the boundaries of the nativity box, and help their story come alive in a way modern readers can identify and relate. |
As I dug past the details and circumstances of Mary’s life to unearth her core needs, fears, and desires, I found myself identifying with Mary more and more. I discovered God at work in each detail of her life and in every relationship, teaching her His ways and deepening her faith, just as He has done in my life. In Philippians 2:12, Mary is the perfect example of a believer who “works out her salvation with fear and trembling,” as God teaches her to trust His plan through the life and death of her very own Son. Thus Mary’s journey of faith becomes one in which all roads lead her back to Jesus, the Christ, the Lord and Savior of all. |
I invite you to join me on this journey as I share my own life experiences in light of Mary’s journey as found in Scripture. My hope is that Mary becomes real and relevant to you in a very personal way throughout the pages of this book. My prayer is that, as you find yourself and your own journey of faith in the story of Mary, your faith in Jesus Christ will be renewed and strengthened.
Amy C. O’Reilly has a master’s in physical therapy and co-owns Sandhills Orthotics and Prosthetics with her husband. Amy serves as a leader and teacher at her local church and Community Bible Study, and she desires to expand God’s kingdom through writing and speaking at churches and women’s groups. She enjoys running, teaching, and spending time with family at the beach. Amy and her family live in the Sandhills of North Carolina. When Only Faith Remains is her first book. |

Reading and history have been my passion since early childhood when my parents encouraged both. I was introduced to Christian fiction around age 4-5 while listening to radio drama adaptations of books by great authors including Janette Oke. I have been a voracious reader and avid library patron ever since. I started Tell Tale Book Reviews in December 2012. I am also an active volunteer in the areas I hold most dear, library, museum, and pets. Hobbies include a small bead jewelry business, watching classic movies/ TV, listening to Irish/Celtic music, and autograph collecting.
