It’s Christmastime and love is in the air. But when these three Elite Guardians walk into the crosshairs of trouble, they find themselves fighting not just for justice, but for the lives of the men they love in this riveting thriller collection! Deadly Holiday Hijack by Kate Angelo “Come out to Savannah, she says. It’ll be fun, she says. Boss can be in the nativity pageant, she says,” Yeah. Great idea. Bodyguard Christina Sherman and her fiancé, former spec ops air commando Grey Parker just want to sneak away to beautiful Savannah, attend a Nativity Pageant, maybe set a wedding date. But when a group of terrorists take over the church and the whole thing is live streamed, they find themselves in a hometown version of a Die Hard Christmas movie. But will they make it to the happy ending? Silent Night Siege by Kelly Underwood Billionaire Preston Whittaker and bodyguard Laila Rabbinowitz just can’t get a break. Not only are their schedules so crazy they’ve put their relationship on simmer, but on their way to the mountains for much-needed togetherness…yep, their plane crashes. Suddenly they’re stranded on a remote mountainside in freezing temperatures, minimal food, wildlife, and no hope of rescue. And then, the real danger starts. Someone deliberately caused the wreck, and that person is hunting them through the wilderness. Now, it’ll take more than togetherness to survive… Christmas Snowstorm Standoff by Sami A. Abrams It’s finally time for bodyguard Lizzie Tremaine to tie the knot with the man she’s loved for years—fellow bodyguard Charlie Lee. But maybe fate is still against them, because on the eve of their big day, a snowstorm hits. And, while it’s kept the guests away, it’s brought trouble in the form of a woman from Charlie’s past. More, she’s on the run from a killer… A man who will stop at nothing to make sure Charlie and Lizzie never make it to the altar. Now Lizzie and Charlie must battle the storm, stop the killer, and defeat the doubts that suddenly have them wondering if they are truly meant to be. Three epic love stories. Three edge-of-your-seat thrillers. Three Christmases caught in the Crosshairs inspired by best-selling author Lynette Eason’s Elite Guardian series. My Review Will these 3 couples survive to see Christmas... I have been really enjoying the Elite Guardians series originated by Lynette Eason so when I found out there would be a Christmas novella collection written by the same three authors who penned each of the previous three books, well, I was pretty excited. Christmas In The Crosshairs turned out to be everything I have come to anticipate in the series. Kate Angelo, Kelly Underwood, and Sami A. Abrams deliver plenty of drama, danger, and romance for their respective characters and for their readers. Each couple faces a different life changing step; one must set a date for their wedding, one must choose whether to make the altar the next step in their relationship, and the third must decide whether their impending ceremony is where they are supposed to be. Of course, all of them just need to survive long enough to be able to make those decisions. Christmas In The Crosshairs is a great addition to the Elite Guardians series and I loved how I could sit down and read a complete story in just one fairly quick sitting. It was also fun how each one was independent but at the same time loosely built on each other. Kate Angelo's Deadly Hijack saw the characters anticipating the upcoming wedding that Kelly Underwood's Silent Night Siege were on the way to attend while Sami A. Abrams' Christmas Snowstorm Standoff were waiting for their friends to arrive for the big day. So, if you are in the Christmas mood for a little faith-filled romantic suspense and you are a fan of the Elite Guardians, may I suggest Christmas In The Crosshairs as your next exciting read... Tell Tale Book Reviews gives Christmas In The Crosshairs by Lynette Eason, Kate Angelo, Kelly Underwood, and Sami A. Abrams a 4 Bark rating. (I received a copy of this book from the author/publisher. All opinions are entirely my own.)

My Reviews
Driving Force
Can they figure it all out in time?
I will start right up front by making a confession. I read the second Elite Guardians Collection book before reading Driving Force. There. I said it! It was just one of those things where I didn't get my hands on book one first and I simply read them out of order. But, you know, it happened to work out just fine and I don't feel like I cheated myself too badly. Kate Angelo is a brand new to me author but I can tell you that she has filled Lynette Eason's shoes quite nicely in this first book in the new multi-author spin-off based on the original Elite Guardians series. And, I think I'll make a second little confession here, I actually like this second series a lot more than the original. I originally wanted to read Driving Force simply because it was part of the Elite Guardians Collection series and I had no idea that in its pages I would 'meet' one of the coolest and impressive military working dogs that I've read in Christian fiction. He really is the Boss! Okay, okay, Christina and Grey are pretty cool too. Kate Angelo did an excellent job with this book. It was edge-of-your-seat reading and each layer of the suspense angle was well crafted – without giving too much away too soon – as everything built up toward the final showdown with The Scavenger. I did have my suspicions as to who was behind it all but you'll have to read the story for yourself to find out more. And I do recommend diving into both this book and the rest of the series... Tell Tale Book Reviews gives Driving Force by Kate Angelo a 4.5 Bark rating. Impending Strike*
It's a race against time to remember...what?
If a person is going to start a series out of order it's always best to start with a book as good as Impending Strike. Yeah, yeah, I know this is the second Elite Guardians Collection novel but I'm a fan of Sami A. Abrams' Love Inspired Suspense, so, what the hey... While it probably would have made more sense if I'd started with the first book in the series, I was still able to get into the swing of things pretty quickly. And, anyway, this series also just happens to be a spinoff from Lynette Eason's Elite Guardians, of which I have only read the first book years ago when it was first released. But it was Sami A. Abrams' characters that I really fell in love with. Lizzie and Charlie were the perfect couple for this story of murder and mayhem. Both are so tough and yet vulnerable – and both are hiding secrets from their past that are affecting any chance at a future together. It was also kind fun watching the bodyguard guarding the...bodyguard... Impending Strike is most definitely a romantic suspense novel. It had everything my intrigue and pandemonium loving heart could ask for and I was kept on the edge of my seat all the way through the second Elite Guardians Collection book. This was one of those books that I didn't want to put down and because I didn't really have to, well, I just didn't... I really enjoyed Impending Strike, Sami A. Abrams' riveting addition to the Elite Guardians Collection series. After finishing it I am definitely going to have to read the first book as well as look forward to the next one... Tell Tale Book Reviews gives Impending Strike by Sami A. Abrams a 4.5 Bark rating.

Defending Honor
Has he really changed? Can she?
I've known from the start of the Elite Guardians Collection series that Laila was going to get quite the story, any girl that is ex-Mossad has got to have something pretty impressive. New-to-me author Kelly Underwood didn't disappoint in any way, shape or form! Defending Honor was some seriously edge-of-your-seat stuff in addition to riveting and intense! There was never a dull or quiet moment in Defending Honor, in either the suspense or romance departments. In fact, this third Elite Guardians Collection novel even had some thriller-ish scenes that got my heart pumping and my fingers turning those pages so fast I think I smelled smoke – OK, maybe that was from fire and explosions in the story, but still, you get my point... Kelly Underwood did an excellent job as Defending Honor was one of those books that really kept me guessing. There were times when I had no clue who the mastermind could possibly be, and yet there was a niggling suspicion that kept popping up from the back of my mind. This, this is exactly why I have been enjoying the Elite Guardians Collection series so much! This book appears to be Kelly Underwood's debut and I must say that I was quite impressed. Defending Honor fits in seamlessly with the the rest of the Elite Guardians Collection and it more than holds its own within the realm of Christian romantic suspense. I will most definitely be keeping my eye on Kelly Underwood as time goes on because, based on this book alone one can expect some really good reading from her. Tell Tale Book Reviews gives Defending Honor by Kelly Underwood a 4.5 Bark rating.

12th Blogoversary Author
Reading and history have been my passion since early childhood when my parents encouraged both. I was introduced to Christian fiction around age 4-5 while listening to radio drama adaptations of books by great authors including Janette Oke. I have been a voracious reader and avid library patron ever since. I started Tell Tale Book Reviews in December 2012. I am also an active volunteer in the areas I hold most dear, library, museum, and pets. Hobbies include a small bead jewelry business, watching classic movies/ TV, listening to Irish/Celtic music, and autograph collecting. Our Rating System
