Arctic Christmas Ambush is my absolute favorite Love Inspired Suspense novel of this year! I first fell in love with it because of the cover but, wow, what a story is inside! Sherri Shackelford has done it again! Just when I think she's written her best book, she tops herself yet again. There was absolutely everything to love about Arctic Christmas Ambush and nothing to dislike. Sherri Shackelford's research into the Alaskan setting was evident in those little details and I was very impressed. And, I'll admit it, she had me won over when she chose to feature my favorite dogs, Alaskan Malamutes, in the story. You almost never see Malamutes in fiction so I was totally thrilled with the canines in this book. Another thing that I really liked was just how flawed both characters were. Neither of them was the tortured character that is rescued by the other's love. No, these two had to recognize their own problems and then learn to work together through those problems. |  This Book received a 4 Bark rating.

I'm a fan of Love Inspired Suspense and it's because of books like Arctic Christmas Ambush. Romantic sparks, tension you could cut with a knife, danger and suspense, and some real curveballs before the final showdown with a killer. Sherri Shackelford's latest was a great read and it's going on my favorites read this year!
