I'm excited to join in the cover reveal for Caligo by @jjfischerauthor releasing on May 15, 2025! This is the sequel novel to the award-winning post-apocalyptic fantasy series, The Nightingale Trilogy, and completes the story of the series’ most beloved character. It is best enjoyed after reading the trilogy but can be enjoyed as a stand-alone novel. Caligo will be releasing in ebook, paperback, and special edition hardback formats. Note: There might be some spoilers for The Nightingale Trilogy below. The Nightingale Trilogy’s most beloved character finally gets his own book in this stand-alone sequel novel to the original series which is best enjoyed after finishing Memoria but can be read as a stand-alone novel. Caligo is a gender-swapped transformation of Beauty and the Beast where both hero and heroine are beautiful and beastly in different ways. This sequel is set in a land of monsters (not Caldera) and features enemies-to-lovers romance, a miniature chicken sidekick (who may be prophetic), a Pegasus, a Flynn Rider type hero, and a Mother Gothel like antagonist (with a twist).

I'm excited to join in the cover reveal for Winter's Chill by @morganlbusse releasing from @enclavepublishing in August 2025! The second book in The Nordic Wars, a fantasy Viking series, is available to preorder in hardcover today. Fighter. Emissary. Long-Lost Daughter.Brighid has one mission as she returns to the north: to warn her people of the oath that binds them. But the mountains are treacherous, and snow comes early, leaving her on death’s doorstep—until she has an unexpected encounter that not only reveals a secret about her past, but also brings new allies into her life. Meanwhile, the healer Kaeden must come to terms with the awakening of his Eldaran power. With winter approaching and the war on hold, he ventures to the White City to uncover his heritage. As he walks the ancient halls of his people’s birthplace, he discovers not all adversaries are across the battle line. He must navigate political opponents while searching for a way to stop those of his kind who have turned to the darkness. Yet even the bitterness of winter cannot keep Brighid and Kaeden apart. A connection has been forged between them, and their bond might be the one thing that could save the Nordic people and end the war. Reading and history have been my passion since early childhood when my parents encouraged both. I was introduced to Christian fiction around age 4-5 while listening to radio drama adaptations of books by great authors including Janette Oke. I have been a voracious reader and avid library patron ever since. I started Tell Tale Book Reviews in December 2012. I am also an active volunteer in the areas I hold most dear, library, museum, and pets. Hobbies include a small bead jewelry business, watching classic movies/ TV, listening to Irish/Celtic music, and autograph collecting. Our Rating System
1 Bark - OK 2 Barks - Good! 3 Barks - Great! 4 Barks - Excellent! 5 Barks - WOW! + Barks - .5 (1/2) If I consider a book less than OK I won't review it.
