I've gotten hooked on Margaret Daley's Love Inspired books, each story is a short and enjoyable suspenseful jaunt.

Margaret Daley has written quite a few stories, each one just seems to get even better and Bodyguard Reunion is no exception. She knows how to weave a tight plot with plenty of suspense and a dash of romance.

I think one of my favorite things about the book is that the hero and heroine were on a level playing field, both are bodyguards with experience under their belts. Sometimes in suspense books you have the one character that is a cop-like figure and the other is totally out of their element so it was really nice to see the balance in Bodyguard Reunion as the two shared responsibility and trusted each other.

Great characters, plenty of danger and suspense, a few surprises, and a dash of romance make Bodyguard Reunion a perfect afternoon's read.

The Rambler's Bride by Linda Goodnight
A lovely little homestead story that I very much enjoyed reading. The hero is flawed but God and a good woman send him in the right direction. A delightful story for readers that enjoy prairie romances.

Lovebirds At The Heartbreak Cafe by Janet Tronstad
I think this might just be my favorite story from this collection. There is romance, humor, friends helping friends, AND it is set in my favorite state, Montana. What more could you ask for?

Her Mule Hollow Cowboy by Debra Clopton
This story hit a little close to home because in some ways I am similar to the heroine... Still haven't found my cowboy yet, though. Great story and I loved the ranching touches and Texas twang.

Deadly Hunt by Margaret Daley
Ahhh, romantic suspense, my favorite genre! This short story is almost a mini-mystery and Margaret Daley did a good job keeping me guessing until the end. Wonderful story and I very much enjoyed it!

Necessary Proof by Camy Tang
Camy Tang is so good at suspense with dashes of humor. You find yourself in the middle of a tense scene and then burst out laughing at a certain phrase or comment. Definitely do not miss this story!

Kissed By A Cowboy by Lacy Williams
Sweet, romantic, and a little bit of a tear-jerker in spots. A story of family, hard work, and learning to dream. A perfect ice cream ending for this short story collection, the last page will leave you smiling.

Overall
A great collection of short stories from a group of very talented authors. Readers of nearly every genre will find at least one story that captures their particular interest. The stories will leave your feeling encouraged and uplifted. I am definitely looking forward to more installments in the Inspy Kisses series. Great job ladies!

#1. What was the inspiration for this book?
I was asked to be part of the Love Inspired 2014 continuity series. LIS gives us the framework of the story, and we come up with what it will be, making it fit with the other five books in the series. The six authors in the series work together to make everything work.

#2. How long did it take to finish writing this book?
Two months from beginning to end.

#3. Do you have favorite character(s) in this book?
Lisette—because she was trying to fit in and do the best job possible while living down what her mother was suspected of doing.

#4. What do you hope your readers will take away with them when they read this book?
How important forgiveness is in our lives.

#5. What made you choose some of the specific locations in this book?
In this case the location was determined for me by Love Inspired Suspense editors so it would fit with the rest of the series.

#6. How did you name your characters?
I didn't. I was given the hero and heroine's names.

#7. Tell us something funny, sad, embarrassing, whatever, that happened involving this book.
Trying to make the beginning exciting and fit what the US Marshals would do when transporting a criminal—it can be hard to fit reality with what needs to be for the storyline. I work hard to make it believable, and I think I lost a few hairs over this story (or gained a few gray ones).

Bonus. Share with us a thought, Bible verse, whatever is on your mind/heart.
Forgiveness is actually freeing for a person. It can be very hard to do, but when you can let go of a past grievance, you can move on so much easily.

She currently writes inspirational romance and romantic suspense books for the Steeple Hill Love Inspired lines, romantic suspense for Abingdon Press and historical romance for Summerside Press. She has sold ninety-two books to date.

She has taught numerous classes for online groups, ACFW and RWA chapters. She enjoys mentoring other authors.

Until she retired a few years ago, she was a teacher of students with special needs for 27 years and volunteered with Special Olympics as a coach. She currently is on the Outreach committee at her church, working on several projects in her community as well as serving on her church’s vestry.

On a more personal note, she has been married for over forty years to Mike and has one son and four granddaughters.

I have read several Love Inspired Suspense books over the last year or so and I have to say that The Baby Rescue was, by far, the best.

The story is tight and very well written. Matter of fact and not overdone. There is plenty of action and the romance is just right for this kind of story. Margaret Daley has the art of writing an intriguing and even gripping suspense story down to a 'T'. In my opinion, not only will suspense-loving women enjoy this book, but it could easily be read by a guy as well.

I really liked both main characters, the story switches back and forth between their points of view, they are both strong and gentle at the same time. I like how the romance isn't the top priority, their main goal in this case is to save the lives of the trafficked babies, followed closely by wanting the criminals stopped and put behind bars, romance just kind of slips up on them before they are quite ready for it.

One of the things I liked most about this story was the fact that the main characters desire for justice was not treated as if it were wrong or a desire for revenge. They each struggle with the evil they see daily and its seeming triumph in this world.

Forgiveness is a big theme in The Baby Rescue with the characters each working out the journey towards healing.

A must read for fans of Love Inspired Suspense, Margaret Daley, and suspense stories in general.
