Christmas Anticipation
Now as I’m getting older, the season comes and goes way too fast. Why is that?
Part of it could be because time flies when we age. ;-) However, could the biggest reason be we’re caught up in the busyness of the season that we’ve lost the excitement we once had as children?
In Explosive Christmas Showdown Olive Wells is thrust into the season by having to save everyone she loves from the dangerous Jingle Bell Bomber. Everywhere she goes, she’s reminded of the season—one she’d rather sleep through after a tragic event stole her joy years ago on Christmas day. The circumstance also dimmed her light of celebrating Christ’s birth and put doubts in her mind about His sovereignty. She doesn’t feel God is in control any longer. However, by the end of the story, Olive’s spirit of Christmas is restored and she’s decorating a tree with those she loves. She’s thankful for her amazing family, but most of all—her renewed trust in Jesus. |
Let’s take a step back in time to when we were kids. How about we let the anticipation of the season capture our hearts again?
Most of all…let’s get caught up in the excitement of that first Christmas morn.
The first winter star led the path to the baby Jesus.
The best gift of all!
