Historical Romance/Cowboy
Her Convenient Cowboy
by Lacy Williams
(Audiobook)
A blizzard traps rancher Davy White in his family's secluded cabin with Rose Evans…and she's nine months pregnant! Help is miles away, and Davy must work to keep them both alive. As the storm rages outside, he comes to care for the vulnerable widow. Enough that he's willing to offer her his name—against his family's objections.
Rose will do anything for her baby, but she's recently widowed. She doesn't know if she can trust the feelings she has toward Davy. And she refuses to come between him and his family. But the more time they spend together, the less she can resist the comforting, caring cowboy.
Wyoming Legacy: United by family, destined for love
A truly sweet historical romance in the tradition of Janette Oke. Her Convenient Cowboy is the story of a young couple adjusting to a life together after being thrust into marriage by need and the weather. I enjoyed the interaction between Davy and Rose, quickly coming to care about them both.
This was my first Lacy Williams historical but I felt that I was able to dive into the series and enjoy it even though I hadn't read any of the previous stories. Of course, I imagine that won't last long and that I will be looking for the rest of the series.
I truly enjoyed listening to the Audible version of this book. There was something about the narrator's voice that just fit the story perfectly. I'm sure coming up with the different voices for all of the characters was no easy task but the narrator was definitely up to it.
Overall Her Convenient Cowboy was a fun listen, one well worth the time spent with my ear glued to the speaker attached to my Kindle.
by Lacy Williams a 4 Bark rating.
