I'm going to be honest, despite a couple of language (minor words and some missuses of God's name) issues, I actually liked Sparrow House even better than the first book in the Anna Denning Mystery series. I loved the historical, are the 1970s even historical? murder mystery with clues hidden in old family documents, and the haunted house / ghost thread reminded me of my beloved childhood Nancy Drew books. I also really liked seeing Anna's relationship with her love interest continue to grow and mature as they both work through some things. Their romance provides a sweet contrast, and a nice break, from the mystery/suspense elements.
I really enjoyed listening to this audiobook and finished it faster than I usually would for one of its length. The narrator is quickly becoming one of my favorites and she did true justice to Anna and the rest of Karin Kaufman's novel. The production and sound are good. The story even better...
