The two February interviews have been backwards. February 1st was the official release of A Home For Lydia so, even though it was the 2nd book in The Pebble Creek Amish series, I posted it first.
This interview is for book 1, A Promise For Miriam.
Fiction Full Of Grace
#1. What was the inspiration for this book? Walking through a one-room Amish schoolhouse in Wisconsin. Being a teacher myself, I could instantly imagine the story. #2. How long did it take to finish writing A Promise For Miriam? Approximately 4 months, and then the re-writes from my editors. #3. What do you hope your readers will take away with them when they read this book? That God ALWAYS has a plan for our life - plans to prosper us and give us a future. #4. How did you name your characters? Names are a problem for me, but one of the first Amish women I ever met was named Miriam. #5. Tell us something funny, sad, embarrassing, whatever, that happened involving this book. I wanted to get a dog. Hubby says I like the IDEA of a dog, not having a dog. We have 3 cats and 4 grand-dogs at the moment. Bonus. Share with us a thought, Bible verse, whatever is on your mind/heart. Both of my characters think life has passed them by. They are afraid to HOPE. That's the story I wanted to write, that God's grace always gives us hope. Where can readers interact with you?
