I knew I wanted to read A Sparkle Of Silver because I loved The Red Door Inn so much when I read a couple years back. I can't say that I was pleasantly surprised by the start to Liz Johnson's new Georgia Coast Romance series because I expected it to be a good story. I was not disappointed in any way. In fact, I loved the realism of both Millie's and Ben's struggles with everything from finances to family. Neither of them have it easy, pretty much like real life.
A Sparkle Of Silver is a lovely story, poignant and bittersweet in places, in both the historical thread and the contemporary setting. And, hey, you just can beat a story about a treasure hunt through mysterious rooms in a historic southern mansion, now can you....
