When my copy finally arrived I had to put it aside so I could work on other books in my to-read stack, but I kept going back and looking at it, it kept whispering to me, and somehow it just 'magically' made its way to the top of said stack. |  This Book earned a 4 Bark rating.

Allison Pittman writes with such a lively distinctive style that I truly enjoy. She tells each story in a refreshingly straightforward way. No frills, just realistic characters living in one of the most fascinating, and least represented, times in history. All For A Sister is also an interesting look into the Hollywood and the world of film during the early years.
I do have to admit that the viewpoint changes for each chapter were a little confusing at first but it didn't take me long to get pulled into the story and then I hardly noticed. As I read I really did have a hard time putting the book down, Allison Pittman grabs her readers and keeps them. Even when I was doing other things I still thought about the story, what had already occurred and what might happen next.
