Deadly Encounter is yet another thrilling story from this talented author. There were a couple of characterizations that made me a little uncomfortable but they didn't stop me from becoming totally involved in the story. I think one of my favorite things about Deadly Encounter was Stacy's work with animals as a veterinarian, which is a profession you don't see a lot of in suspense. I'm a sucker for pets in a story, especially dogs and cats. Make no mistake, this book is a romantic suspense novel in every sense of the genre. There were times when I almost tripped over my own fingers flipping pages trying to find out what happened next.
DiAnn Mills has the beginning of another winning series in Deadly Encounter, and I'm looking forward to book 2 in the FBI Task Force series as I know it is sure to be just as good.
