I have enjoyed pretty much every Brandilyn Collins I have read but I think this is the best one so far. This book is full of emotion; you feel the terror, desperation, and anger along with Lisa. As someone who has not suffered from severe depression it was fascinating to get into Lisa's mind and understand the how and why. First debilitating depression and then terrifying dreams/visions, despite all this Lisa genuinely wants and tries to help the murdered woman in her visions. |  This book earned a 4 Bark Rating.

Lisa has a difficult relationship with her mother but when the chips are down and her daughter is in danger, Lisa's mother drops everything and stays as long as Lisa needs her. This side plot explains much about who Lisa is, and the reconciliation is sweet without being sappy. Sometimes all takes to mend things is to talk a little and listen a lot.
Another interesting relationship Lisa has is with her best friend Sherry. Sherry is the epitome of a good friend. No matter what Lisa goes through and how withdrawn she becomes, Sherry is there supporting, defending, and helping. Not only do I wish I had a friend like her, I also want to BE such a friend.
Double Blind does bring up some difficult and thoroughly modern issues. Is manipulating the human mind right? How far should doctors go in the name of research?
The question is: How far would you go for healing? Would you make the same choice Lisa did?
