Several years ago I never would have tried the Love Inspired books thinking they wouldn't have the quality writing of longer books. But the authors, especially Margaret Daley, have proved me wrong. I look forward to reading each new story from Margaret and I am never disappointed in the slightest, whether it's suspense or the more inspirational line. I have read several of her suspense books and Her Hometown Hero was delightfully different, with a nice balance of story and romance. Kit's personal growth and change is not overshadowed by the love story but is rather enhanced by it. One of the things I liked about Her Hometown Hero was Kit's relationship with her therapy dog, Lexie. As a person with beloved pets myself, I know just how much having a dog can bring into a person's life. There is nothing like the joy and comfort that a dog, and any furry pet, give to their 'owners', though, as Kit discovers those pets have a way of wrapping you around their little paws. |  This Book earned a 4 Bark rating.
