My first taste of Christy Barritt's writing was a Love Inspired Suspense book that I picked up at a book sale. That first book started an addiction, one that I gleefully give in to. Hidden Agenda was everything I expected and more. Fast-paced and exciting, I was kept glued to the pages. Daily life ceased to exist for the hours that I was immersed in the story. I think Hidden Agenda has one of my favorite Love Inspired covers. The debris covered beach, old rowboat, and the sun peeking through storm clouds, really match the book and hint at the story within. |

As with all Love Inspired Suspense titles, Hidden Agenda is a somewhat short, easy to read story filled with mystery and romance and some surprise twists and turns. I really liked the main characters. Both rely on their faith to get them through. Bailey will do anything to protect her family and Ed risks his own life for his country on a regular basis. And they are both determined to get to the bottom of what is going on in the big rambling old house.
