What happens when one of my favorite Amish fiction authors takes on cozy mysteries? The answer is Kappy King And The Puppy Kaper. A fun murder mystery populated with some quirky characters AND adorable puppies! OK, I'll admit it, I'm a sap for stories with dogs in them, and when you toss in a murder mystery, well, it makes for a pretty good book.
I really enjoyed how romance was not the central theme in this book. Instead, the focus is more on the mystery and the slowly developing friendship between the reserved Kappy and colorful Edie. I wil admit that I was able to guess the killer's indentity fairly early on but then Amy Lillard tossed in some red herrings causing me to question everything.
If you enjoy cozy-tpye mysteries and Amish fiction, oh and you love dogs, you should really check out Kappy King And The Puppy Kaper. I for one, am really looking forward to further additions to this fun new series from Amy Lillard.
