Can the Talbot family survive the upheaval?
Time Slip novels are not the easiest to write, some tend to be stronger in either the historical or contemporary sections of the story, but the team of Mindy Starns Clark and Leslie Gould masterfully handles the hurdles of this genre. My Daughter's Legacy is a perfect example, and a perfectly great read!
I fell in love with the Talbot family as they historically navigated religious persecution and in the contemporary time period began to solve a mystery that has plagued four of the Talbot girls for years. I loved how these two authors brought all of those threads together in My Daughter's Legacy and wove them into a tapestry of danger and romance that affects generations of Talbots, and, finally brings to light some shocking answers that have been over a century in the making.
If Time Slip novels are your thing, or even if you are new to them, I highly recommend the Cousins Of The Dove series. Mindy Starns Clark and Leslie Gould write sympathetically about the struggles and the triumphs of women centuries apart, and yet, those struggles and triumphs really are the same in all eras. You just won't want to miss this book and this series!
