I got hooked on Lisa Harris's suspense with her Southern Crimes series and I had no idea she also did Love Inspired Suspense, which I also enjoy, until I got the chance to read Taken. It was a wonderful, wild, ride of danger and mystery set in the City of Light. Which reminds me, I didn't even know that Paris is called the City of Light, and I loved the little tidbits of history that sprinkle the pages of Taken. I think one of my favorite things about the book is Kate's determination to rescue her niece no matter what the risk, no matter the sacrifice. She's scared half to death but family comes first. Will she find time in between dodging kidnappers to give love a chance? |
