Heartwarming, The Prodigal's Holiday Hope and her other stories set in December, are heartwarming. Confession time. I didn't like Tess for the first half of the book. I didn't like her at all. She was just so judgmental and mean to Sawyer that I wanted to toss her in a snowbank. But then, after awhile, I began to see why she was that way and I began to lighten up on her as Sawyer slowly began to thaw her out with his thoughtfulness and kindness.
The Prodigal's Holiday Hope is a charming read with all of the sights and sounds and scents of the holiday season. Jill Kemerer once again tops herself with the joy, the hope, and the wonder of Christmas. Life isn't always easy, it can be downright messy, but faith and family and friends will see you through the dark and into the light.
