Every single time I read one of Jen Turano's books I say it's my favorite and that's no less true about this one. Each of The Bleecker Street Inquiry Agency books has been my favorite and each time for a different reason. Every single one has been fun, charming, witty, delightful, and captivating. To Disguise The Truth was all of that and a little bit more! Plus it had to most interesting settings, from a New York City ladies boarding house to an artist's commune to a ranch in the wild wild west. In Jen Turano's best style it's all comedy, danger, and romance from there on out!
As I think you can probably already tell from my ever so slight gushing (wink), I fell in love with Eunice...Eugenia..Sunshine...whatever her name is, and Arthur right off the bat. I laughed my way through their reluctantly flying sparks, shook my head at their antics, and gave out a sigh of satisfaction at the final happy ending.
To Disguise The Truth as a completely enjoyable and delicious read. It had everything that I've come to love in a Jen Turano book, including a few unexpected surprises, and it was the perfect conclusion to The Bleecker Street Inquiry Agency series. Honestly, I can't recommend it highly enough...
