Where Rivers Part
A Texas Gold Novel book 2
by Kellie Coates Gilbert
-From the back cover- SUCCESS TOO OFTEN COMES WITH A PRICE. JULIET NEVER IMAGINED THAT COST COULD BE SO HIGH. Dr. Juliet Ryan has devoted her considerable scientific acumen to corporate America, providing safe drinking water for millions – and affording her plenty of perks along the way. Her career choice is not the path her estranged father would have her take, but then Juliet finds it difficult to maintain respect got a man she cannot trust. She's on her way up in the world, and she's not going to let anyone drag her down. But when a fast-moving disaster sweeps Juliet into a whirlpool of corporate scandal, lives are at risk – including those of some of the people closest to her. As she scrambles to find answers, Juliet must face her deepest wounds and join forces with the one who has hurt her most in order to expose a far-reaching conspiracy. Like a mighty river with twists and turns and hidden rocks, this engrossing story will sweep you relentlessly along as it explores the seduction of success, the fear of giving up control, and the redemptive power of learning to forgive. Another must read from Kellie Coates Gilbert! I first fell in love with Kellie Coates Gilbert's writing when I read her book Mother Of Pearl and I have been hooked, even addicted, ever since. She has such a way of transporting her readers so thoroughly into the lives and hearts of her characters. | |
I had some reservations about trying out Women's Fiction, I thought it would probably just be fluffy and maybe even a little sappy. Kellie Coates Gilbert more than proved me wrong. These stories are both entertaining and a powerful tool for sharing the power of love and forgiveness.
In Where Rivers Part Juliet's life falls completely apart, anything that can go wrong, does. She has several choices to make and all of them life-changing. When the dust settles where will she stand?
Another great thing about this book is the gorgeous cover! It really draws the eye and inviting you in to partake of the delightful story within the pages.
I really can't say enough positive things about Where Rivers Part, it is a suspenseful story, and a tale of human relationships. Kellie Coates Gilbert has a definite must read in Where Rivers Part!
Tell Tale Book Reviews gives Where Rivers Part by Kellie Coates Gilbert a 4.5 Bark rating.
