Mesu Andrews's trademark exquisite attention to historical detail and uncompromising belief in the truth of Scripture bring to life some of the most memorable characters in a way that makes the reader feel as if they, too, are standing there in the ancient Holy Land.
For me By The Waters Of Babylon was a fairly quick read and so very hard to put down. It was also one of those stories that left me thinking about the characters even as I went about other tasks. There was something about Merari's determination to believe in Yahweh despite everything happening to her and around her that I found to be intriguing, convicting, and most definitely inspiring.
