Patch Love Inspired Suspense I am even more impressed. Cold Case Takedown was no exception. As with all of her books, Cold Case Takedown featured plenty of danger, some surprise twists and turns, a few red herrings to keep you guessing, and a well incorporated romance thread. I even loved the unusual, but totally fun, cold case podcast element. But...This time around I was completely blown away by Jessica R. Patch's surprisingly relatable portrayal of a heroine who faces a daily battle with debilitating anxiety. Yes, for once the heroine isn't visibly braver than every other person in the book. Nope, our girl has been beaten down but she picked herself up and has also learned to cope. She has come through tougher and stronger than even she knows. But our hero starts to get an inkling... |  This Book received a 4 Bark rating.

As you can tell, I enjoyed the first book in the Cold Case Investigators series. I'm definitely waiting, rather impatiently I might add, for the next book to release. I can't wait to dive in with Jessica R. Patch and start trying to figure out whodunit just like I did with Cold Case Takedown...
