Never Kneel To A Knight
Fortune's Brides book 5
by Regina Scott
-From Goodreads- When the thoroughly poised Charlotte Worthington requests that Miss Thorn and her cat Fortune find her a position, she never dreams the savvy employment agency owner would reunite her with Matthew Bateman, her brother’s former bodyguard. Matthew is about to be knighted for an act of valor, and he and his sisters could use some polishing if they’re to enter Society after his elevation. Yet how can Charlotte maintain her calm, cool demeanor as their sponsor when she harbors a secret love for him? Matthew Bateman cannot forget the beauty who is miles out of his league. Once a boxer called the Beast of Birmingham, Matthew would like nothing better than to be worthy of Charlotte’s hand. As old enemies and new ones attempt to bring him low, can Matthew prove to Charlotte that their love is meant to be? ASIN: B07NYHSVJ2 Will this new knight be able to win his fair lady? I've been wanting to read Never Kneel To A Knight since I was first introduced to the Beast of Birmingham and Miss Charlotte Worthington, the young lady he feels is far above him. I was curious how these two would manage to rise above Society's expectations and their own misgivings. What I did know was that I would be in for a real treat as with every one of Regina Scott's novels, particularly the Fortune's Brides series. | This Book received a 4 Bark rating. |
One of the things that I've really enjoyed about the Fortune's Brides series, aside from the furry Miss Fortune herself, is how the stories have many similarities and yet each one is different. This time around it's society etiquette lessons for a former boxer and his three little sisters. But what could possibly go wrong with that? Well, as a matter of fact....nearly everything....
Each of the Fortune's Brides novels can be read standalone but reading them all and in relative order is much of the fun. Never Kneel To A Knight is the fifth book in the series but is definitely not the least. I enjoyed every minute of reading it and am very much looking forward to the next book from the ever talented Regina Scott.
Tell Tale Book Reviews gives Never Kneel To A Knight by Regina Scott a 4 Bark rating.
