The Chase is the second US Marshals book from author Lisa Harris, but, not paying attention, I read it first. Oops! I kinda felt like I was dropped into the middle of a story, and technically, that's exactly what happened. But. You knew that 'but' was coming didn't you? Lisa Harris is such a skillful author that she had me completely engrossed in The Chase, pun intended, of course. I was invested in Madison and Jonas even though I didn't always know the background. |  This Book received a 4 Bark rating.

Lisa Harris has always been good for a good action-packed romantic suspense read but I think The Chase might have had the corner on that this time around. This US Marshals novel was non-stop action and suspense right from the start, a little lighter on the romance which I appreciated, and definitely a real page-turner.
Despite reading The Chase out of turn I really enjoyed it. Lisa Harris successfully kept me entertained and intrigued while I was bored out of my mind house sitting, a person can only handle so much TV, after all. I can definitely recommend the US Marshals series, though you need to read them in order, especially if if you enjoy romantic suspense that relies more on suspense and allows to the romance to develop more slowly. Hey, you as far as I'm concerned you can't go wrong choosing any book by this author...
