Genre: Christian Romantic Suspense
I have been eagerly anticipating Every Bird That Falls since reading the first Two Sparrows For A Penny novel and long before I even knew what this third book in Sara Davison's series would be called. I've been desperate to know what happened to Jae – where she has been and what exactly she is up to now.
Every Bird That Falls had a little bit different feel to it than Two Sparrows For A Penny books one and two. But, as with the previous books, Sara Davison once again uses fiction to draw awareness to one of the most pervasive evils that has plagued humanity for millennia – human trafficking. I really appreciate the way she handles the difficult topic with compassion but also doesn't shy away from the darkness of it.
That being said, Every Bird That Falls is also a good romantic suspense read with some small touches of thriller. Sara Davison does an excellent job striking a balance between entertaining fiction and real world dangers and problems and the third Two Sparrows For A Penny story is a good example of that.
I honestly can't tell you which book in the Two Sparrows For A Penny series has been my favorite, but, I can tell you that with stories like Every Bird That Falls I will be looking for more books from Sara Davison whether this series is continued or not. If you enjoy slightly grittier Christian fiction with import, this is a series I would recommend...
Tell Tale Book Reviews gives Every Bird That Falls by Sara Davison a 4 Bark rating.
