My Review
Everything she thought she knew is about to change...
Anyone who knows me would know that I love a good Love Inspired Suspense novel and I love discovering new-to-me authors. Safeguarding The Witness is definitely the former and Laurie Winter is the enjoyable latter. And then, to top it off...the story has a Montana setting which I am always a fan of!
There are a lot of twists and turns in Safeguarding The Witness – and I'm not just talking about the twisting Montana roads either – that kept the story moving forward at a fast clip. It was great fun trying to figure out who was after Kayla and her old flame Nicholas. Laurie Winter's novel is definitely a romantic suspense, but there's more to it as Kayla comes to grips with something that many people also struggle with – forgiveness. Her past – and by extension Nicholas' – is affecting the present and any hope of a future.
So, all in all this The Protectors novel was good read. It was an entertaining story and a great way to spend a few hours. Needless to say, after finishing Safeguarding The Witness I have already marked Laurie Winter's next Love Inspired Suspense as 'Want To Read'...
