The Chronicles Of Narnia:
The Voyage Of The Dawn Treader
Starring
Georgie Henley ■ Skandar Keynes ■ Ben Barnes ■ Will Poulter
Lucy and Edmund Pevensie are stranded in Cambridge, living in the house of their obnoxious cousin Eustace, while the grown-ups Susan and Peter are living in the USA with their parents. When a painting of a ship sailing on the sea of Narnia overflows water in their room, Lucy, Edmund and Eustace are transported to the ocean of Narnia and rescued by King Caspian and the crew of the ship The Dawn Treader. Caspian explains that Narnia has been in peace for three years but before he took his throne back, his uncle tried to kill the seven lords of Telmar, who were the closest and most loyal friends of his father. They fled to The Lone Island and no one has ever heard anything about them. Now Caspian is seeking out the lords of Telmar with his Captain Drinian, the talking mouse Reepicheep and his loyal men. Soon, they discover that an evil form of green mist is threatening Narnia and the siblings and their cousin join Caspian in a quest to retrieve the seven swords of the seven lords of Telmar... A wonderful Narnian swashbuckler! Just when you think the Narnia movies have gotten as big and dramatic as they can possibly get, well, they prove you wrong. The Voyage Of The Dawn Treader was one of my favorite books in the series and I think I must have read it at least three times. The movie and the book are definitely waaaay different but each is good in its own right. I actually took my parents out to our local movie theater to watch this movie. We had a great time and all of us enjoyed the movie, not to mention that wonderful theater popcorn which we had to get re-filled.. An epic seafaring adventure with little dashes of humor that will entertain both kids and adults. I will say that this movie is darker than the first so spots might scare the younger kiddies. Anyway, a great adventure film for the whole family so do take the two hours sit down and spend some time with your family on the Narnia high seas. . . . 113 Minutes | Principal Cast Georgie Henley...Lucy Pevensie Skandar Keynes...Edmund Pevensie Ben Barnes...Caspian Will Poulter...Eustace Scrubb Gary Sweet...Drinian Terry Norris...Lord Bern Bruce Spence...Lord Rhoop Bille Brown...Coriakin Laura Brent...Liliandil Filming Location(s) Yatala, Queensland, Australia Cleveland, Queensland, Australia Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia Mount Tamborine, Queensland, Australia Southport, Queensland, Australia Warner Bros. Lucy Pevensie: It's very Narnian looking, isn't it? Eustace Clarence Scrubb: That giant rat thing just tried to claw my face off! Reepicheep: I was merely trying to expel the water from your lungs, sir. Eustace Clarence Scrubb: It talked! Did you see? Did anyone just hear that? It talked! Telmarine Sailor: He always talks. King Caspian: Actually, it's getting him to shut up that's the trick. Reepicheep: Unhand the tail. Aslan the Great gave me this tail and no one, repeat, no one, touches the tail. Period, exclamation mark! Dufflepud #2: [Eustace is snoring] It seems they've brought a pig with them. [Caspian, Edmund, and Lucy look up into the sky as a brilliant blue light descends upon them] Lucy Pevensie: Look! [the light transforms into Lilliandil] Lilliandil: Travelers of Narnia, I am your guide. King Caspian: You are most beautiful. Lilliandil: If it is a distraction for you, I-I can change forms. Edmund Pevensie, King Caspian: Noo! [Caspian and Edmund look at each other. Lucy looks at them and rolls her eyes] King Caspian: I want you to know, I think of you as my brother, Ed. |
