| Young English girl Nikky and her aunt arrive at the Moon-Spinners, a hotel on Crete, to a less than enthusiastic welcome. The coolness of the owner is only out-done by the surliness of her brother Stratos, recently back from London. But then there is nice English lad Mark to make friends with, at least until Stratos and his pal take a shot at him one night. When Nikky helps him hide she finds the Greeks are after her too. Family oriented suspense from the most famous name in children's movies. I first watched this movie as a young teenager when we dropped into the movie rental for movie night. As usual we gravitated to the old live-action Disney movies and we chose this one because of Hayley Mills. I loved this movie so much that we rented it more than once before I bought my own VHS copy. A couple years later we were at a yard sale and my mom found the book this movie was based on, I love it too and got hooked on the author's writing. One of the neatest things about the movie is that back in the day most movies were filmed in a studio and the actors never left California, The Moon-Spinners was filmed on location in Crete. The Moon-Spinners is a great family movie that will appeal to more than just the kids. So, sit back and enjoy one of Disney's best classic films.  108 Minutes | Principal Cast Hayley Mills ...
