She's dead whether she remembers...or not...
Fatal Memories is the first Tanya Stowe book that I've read but it won't be my last. Yes, the amnesia angle has been done before. And yes, it kinda made the story start out a bit slow for me. But, as I got to know Joss and Dylan, what made them tick, I found the character driven nature of the book to be what captured my attention. And then the bad guys seriously turned up the heat on our heroine and hero, so, wow, did things get exciting and I had hard time putting the book down!
One other thing that I've just got to mention is Tanya Stowe's vivid word-painting of the dramatic Arizona landscape. I could 'see' everything perfectly in my mind's eye.
Fatal Memories is a great story with some really good reminders on trusting in God as our everything and getting life priorities in the right order. Don't miss it!

Motorhome Travel
Three years ago, my husband retired. We sold our home, bought a motorhome and hit the road as full-time RVers. We spend winters in southern Arizona, spring and fall just outside of Yosemite in California and the rest of the time we travel. I had a 2400 square foot, two-story home. Let me tell you, the downsizing job was a monster. Twenty-one years in the same house meant lots of things had accumulated. Fortunately, three of our years before my husband retired were spent in the Middle East. During that time, I learned exactly what I did and didn’t need. That made letting go so much easier!
Still, I wondered how I would be able to write without all my books and research material…not to mention an inconsistent Internet connection. We solved that problem with a phone hotspot. I’ve found that I’m able to connect at most of the places where we’ve traveled. The speed is not as fast but having the Internet solved all my other problems. Anything and everything I need I can find online…even information from books that collected dust in my library at home. Switching over to all digital sources has actually simplified my life. I have a small pull-out keyboard shelf and a place for my printer and I’m good to go!
The most amazing thing about living on the road is how many wonderful ideas I get for stories. Everywhere we go I find an interesting historical tidbit to help me build a book or a wonderful location I must write about. That was the case with Fatal Memories. I fell in love with southern Arizona and knew I had to write about the beautiful mountains, challenges facing the people and the monsoons. Yes, during the summer months, southern Arizona has drenching monsoons and wonderful clear skies full of color. I tried to get all of those unique qualities in Fatal Memories.
